Natalia Vodianova Vogue February 2010

So I know that the February 2010 issue of Vogue with Natalia Vodianova has been out for weeks. And I know that the new issue should be out within the next few days. However, I wanted to post about it, because this cover is one of my favourite of Vogues ever! This issue has been sitting on my bed side table ever since I got it through the post at the beginning of January as opposed to being put in the draw with my other magazines! I think this cover really defines the prettiness of the SS10 shows. It combines some of my favourite trends from them such as the femininity, the prettiness of spring, and the use of pastels. I love how when this dress was on the Fendi catwalk, that it was this beautiful dress in a pale lilac colour made of delicate materials, yet it had been put with these bold black wedges. The wedges were able to take away some of the innocence that this look conveyed and without those shoes, I don't think would have been the same... I loved the hair at Fendi too!

Flora by Gucci

I think the Flora by Gucci advert was the best of the 2009 advertisements for perfume... the setting in the flower field and the lighting with the billowing dress is so beautiful. I think this campaign was one of the things that really defined Abbey Lee Kershaw's modelling career...

Trip to London.

On Monday it was a teacher training day... so me and Jess went to London. We went into Topshop, American Apparel, Primark, Urban Outfitters, H&M. We ate in McDonald's. All day going through the train barriers, my ticket never worked once, so by the end of the day it was getting pretty annoying having to keep going to the assistants! We both brought lots of stuff! Jess got two necklaces, both Topshop, one of which was a short necklace with a pearl heart shaped bead and an anchor, the other was a green/blue type jewel stone necklace. The second necklace she brought was exclusive to the Oxford Street store, so that was quite fun to find there. I brought some small red rose earrings. I don't usually wear earrings, but both me and Jess were saying how we really want to get back in to wearing them again :) Also, I got a cameo ring, as well as this top that is a pale green colour, with an exposed zip at the back. At the back, its quite sheer though, whereas on the front of the top, it is folds of fabric. They had it in pale pink too! I might take it back though, as it did seem really expensive for a top.

Gold Jewel Tone Cocktail Ring!

I brought this ring a few weeks ago from Topshop! It was a bit more money than I would usually spend on a ring but I loved the colours so much!

Hint of Floral Roses.

I love wearing a practically monochrome outfit made up of blacks, greys and navy's, with just one bright thing. In this case, my floral rose top :) I hate neon's though. This bright pink colour is about as neon as I go! I really love this top. Top: Topshop

Thinking about the Summer.

So this is the playsuit I brought a few weeks ago! The Playsuit is from Topshop, and the grey blazer is from Primark. I love playsuits, especially floral ones :) I'm so bored of all the miserable weather, with all the cloudy skies and the rain :( I literally cannot wait for it to become summer again, when it actually resembles daytime when you wake up, as opposed to it seeming as though its still the middle of the night. I can't wait for it to feel warm outside again, instead of having to bundle up with five thousand layers everytime you walk out the front door. But mostly, I'm looking forward to just being in the Summer... getting a tan, wearing summery clothes, having longer days, hanging around with my friends, no school to think about for six weeks. I want to be able to wear my floral playsuits without tights and a cardigan, my summer dresses with gladiator sandals, my high waisted denim shorts, my colourful skirts... I am so excited!! What are you's most excited about for this summer?

Shoe Boots.

I went to Lakeside the other night... I wasn't really looking for anything new in particular, but I had been wanting some black shoe boots for quite a while. I'd looked around on the internet, Topshop, Asos-all to expensive, and yes, eBay had some but I didn't really want to buy them off there as I'm quick particular about shoes. I found these though in a shop at Lakeside I wouldn't usually go in, as I don't really like the clothes, but these shoe boots were only £24.99! Now I just need a reason to wear them... :)

Fun in the Snow.

Lately, its been snowing a lot here!! Yesterday I went over to Jess' house. Its always so fun there, we also walk to Tesco to get some lunch lol. In the summer we always got pasta pots and melon, but now its got colder we've bought short breads yesterday and the last time :) Jess brought Vogue, but I already have it so I brought Glamour. We walked back and Jess made some hot chocolate, I made some tea and we sat and talked for ages :) Her cat Isla kept trying to jump on the cage of one of the pigeons that had been brought inside lol. After we got all dressed in so many layers-I had my coat, over a jersey blazer, over a cardigan, over a playsuit with tights (probably a bad choice for the snow!), and my biker boots on, along with a massive scarf and black gloves. Jess had her new Worker Boots on!! They are so nice :) So over we went to the Park, and I wish we had sledges! I thought about using a piece of cardboard but quickly decided against it. We walked to the top of the hill, and sat on the bench there. The snow was blowing directly into us, and the wind was so cold, so we ran all the way down the hill again. Suddenly deciding all the snow would be good for photos, we got Jess' camera, and headed back to the Hill... We then took loads of photos, jumping around in the snow, it was so fun! After a while, our hands felt frozen, and we didn't want to risk catching hypothermia or frost bite (I know it wasn't that cold but it honestly did feel like it!), so we went back into the house. We went on Twitter (follow me-http://twitter.com/lucytaylor0) after uploading all the photos. Played sing star for a bit and then I got picked up and went off home!

Something I wanted to mention, is the fact I'm wondering if this blog has gone down hill a bit :S I started this blog in the summer, in July, and after a few weeks I started getting quite a few comments, and it felt like people were taking an interest in it. But then I didn't post as regularly when I went back to school after the summer, and so I think I may have lost a lot of readers. If there is anyone still reading this post, please comment this post! Say what you like about this blog, or what could make it better, what sorts of things you like that I blog about, what would you want to see more of? I would really really appreciate that! :) I love doing this blog but I don't think theres much point if no one sees it? Tell people of blog if you think it's good.. I want to try and get some readers again!! :)

New Years Eve!!

Happy New Year everyone! For New Years Eve, my Mum throws a party at a local hall and the money raised goes to my Brothers school. My friend Jess came, so it was really fun! :) This year we decided to get ready at Jess' together before going to the Party! That was fun, and we both put on fake eyelashes! I hadn't worn fake eyelashes before, so I was hoping they would come of easily.. luckily they did! Jess slept over after to save her Mum coming to pick her up at midnight. It was such a great night! I wore my Urban Outfitters dress again and Jess wore a playsuit which was also from Urban Outfitters!

My New Years Resolutions are to do more exercise, because I do absolutely none at the moment which must be so bad for me considering the amount of chocolate and McDonalds I do; I would say eat more healthily but I doubt that would happen lol! Also to do more new things this year, and to save up money for clothes so as I have a better wardrobe by this time next year! What are your New Years Resolutions?
